Effective July 2, 2026
RoboLabWorks is an educational robotics design platform created by Dr. Carlotta A. Berry and developed by OnticWorks.io. We built it to be safe and private by design — especially because it is used by students, including minors. This policy explains what we collect when you create an account and how we protect it.
Using RoboLabWorks requires an account so your robots, missions and progress can be saved and synced across your devices. There are two kinds of account:
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and we do not ask children for any personal contact information.
Account and progress data is stored in our secure cloud database (hosted by Supabase) so it can sync across your devices, and is cached locally on your device for offline use. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Our infrastructure providers process it only to run the service; we do not sell it or share it with third parties, and we never use it for advertising.
If you choose to export or share a "build sheet," the data leaves your device only because you shared it (for example, via your device's share menu or by saving a file).
RoboLabWorks contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking technologies. Standard technical information (such as your IP address) may be processed by our hosting providers solely to deliver the service, as is normal for any site or app.
RoboLabWorks is used by children, and we designed the accounts around that. Children never register themselves. A parent or teacher creates and controls each student account and can view or delete it — and all of that student's data — at any time from the guardian dashboard, or by emailing us. Student usernames are handles chosen by the guardian, not personal contact information, and we do not knowingly collect an email address, phone number, precise location, or other personal contact details from a child. If you believe a child provided us information without guardian involvement, email privacy@robolabworks.com and we will delete it.
Guardians can remove a student account (and its data) from the guardian dashboard, and can request deletion of their own account by emailing privacy@robolabworks.com.
If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date above and post the new version at this address.
